Galatians 1:8,
"But though we, or an angel from
heaven, preach any other gospel
unto you than that
which we have preached unto you,
let him be accursed."
This morning, there are many out
in the world
preaching some other gospel than
the true gospel. In
each and EVERY case, Paul said
that these folks are
accursed for this behavior.
There has always been and
always will be one true gospel.
There is no such
thing as the truth being
reformed by the gospel or
theology. The truth remains the
truth, and
reformation of it would only
make it an untruth.
Many people have little
explanations for their
beliefs and the gospel they
preach. Some have even
claimed that they saw a heavenly
vision. Whether they
saw a vision or not, I know not.
But one thing I know: if
it contradicts the Word of God, then the
vision is to be tossed out. John
said to try the
spirits. (I John
4:1)
People may have
seen a vision or angel from
heaven, but that does not give
place for excuse to
believe or preach some other
gospel. Even those of
God's children who are beloved
for the elect's sake
can still be our enemies for the
gospel and truth's
sake. Let us ever earnestly
contend for the faith
that was once delivered to the
saints.
"Someone who tries to over
spiritualize often loses
his spiritual
eyes."
