February 11, 2012 (2nd weekend in February – Saturday only)

 

      - The Lewisville Primitive Baptist Church is planning to host a day of singing and fellowship on Saturday, February 11, 2012.  They are going to start about 10:00am, with lunch at noon and then sing some more in the afternoon.  They extend an invitation to anyone who can come and join them.  Since this will be an informal gathering, they are inviting any brothers, sisters or children to lead a song if they would like to.  For more information, please contact Elder Mark Hasenmyer (mhas1@verizon.net).

February 11 & 12, 2012 (2nd weekend in February – Saturday and Sunday)

 

      - Lord willing Providence Primitive Baptist Church in Stringer, Mississippi will have services starting at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 11th with lunch to follow, an afternoon service, with supper at 5:30 p.m. and services at 7:00 p.m.  We will have services Sunday morning at 10:30 a.m. with lunch to follow. Lord willing, we are looking forward to having Elder James Isaacs and Elder Luke Laird with us.  We would love to have visitation from our sister churches and appreciate your prayers for the meeting.  We have members that would be glad to have brethren and sisters in their homes.  There are also hotels in Laurel (approximately 20 minutes away).      - Little Union Primitive Baptist Church near Lithia, FL, will host the 2012 Florida Fellowship Meeting. The meeting begins on Thursday, February 16, 2012 with services at 7:30 PM. The meeting will continue on Friday with services at 10 AM, lunch, 2 PM service, supper and 7:30 PM service. The meeting on Saturday will follow the same schedule as Friday. The meeting will conclude with services at 10:30 AM on Sunday, followed by lunch.

     - The Littlefield Primitive Baptist Church in Littlefield, Texas has set the Saturday afternoon before the 4th Sunday in February of 2012, for the ordination of Bro Scott Bass, to the full work of the Gospel Ministry.  Services will start Saturday morning, with ordination service scheduled for that Saturday afternoon.  The meeting will conclude on Sunday.  We welcome all ordained ministers and deacons come be with us at this time.

     - The Old Union Primitive Baptist Church outside of Hot Springs, Arkansas, will host their Annual Meeting the 2nd weekend in March.  The meeting will being on Friday night March 9th, and continue all day Saturday and conclude on Sunday morning.  Elder Mark Quarles has agreed to be with the Church at that time.  For more information, please contact Eld. Directions:  Coming in on I-30 take Exit 111 onto Highway 70 towards Hot Springs.  Stay on Highway 70 for about 9 minutes until you reach Highway 128.  Turn right onto Highway 128 and follow it until it ends at the intersection of Highway 5.  Turn left onto Highway 5 and travel about 2 miles until you reach Danville Road.  There is a small store on the left where Danville Road is on the right.  There is also a small sign reading "Old Union Primitive Baptist Church" at the same intersection.  Turn right on Danville Road and follow it 8 miles to the Church.

     - Lord willing, Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church of Dallas Texas will hold our annual meeting the weekend of March 17-18, 2012.  We plan to have Saturday Morning and Afternoon services, along with our regular Sunday morning service.      - The Lewisville Primitive Baptist Church wishes to invite you to come and worship with us during our annual meeting.  Elder Tim McCool, pastor of Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church in  Echola, Alabama, has agreed to come and preach for us this year.  We are thankful to host the meeting beginning on Friday evening and continuing through morning services on Sunday morning.  This is the 4th Sunday weekend in March.  We will serve a light supper at 5:30PM on Friday and services with begin at 7:00PM.  There will be three services on Saturday with the morning service beginning promptly at 10:00AM.  Sunday morning service will begin at 10:30AM. 

 

The church is located at 1590 Glencairn Lane in Lewisville, TX.  From I35E take the Lewisville Main St. exit.  Go west on Main approximately 2 miles to Gardenridge.  Turn right on Gardenridge and go one block to Glencairn.  Turn right on Glencairn. April 7 & 8, 2012 (2nd weekend in April – Saturday through Sunday)

 

     - On the second Sunday in January, the Cortez Primitive Baptist Church voted unanimously to call for the ordination of Brother Adrian Watson to the office of deacon.  We are very thankful  to the good Lord for this wonderful gift.  We have set the time for the ordination to be held on Saturday afternoon of the second week-end in April, with services beginning on Saturday morning and concluding Sunday noon.  We invite all ordained help to come and help us in this service.

     - The West Amite Primitive Baptist Association will be hosted by the Plymouth Primitive Baptist Church outside of Liberty, Mississippi beginning on the Friday night before the fourth Sunday in April.  Elder Jerry Williams is pastor of the Plymouth Primitive Baptist Church.  Plymouth Primitive Baptist Church is about midway between Gloster and Liberty, Mississippi.

     - The Little Vine Primitive Baptist Church of Austin, Texas will host its Annual Meeting the first weekend in May.  Services will begin on Friday evening with singing at 7:00 PM, preaching to follow, and on Saturday at 10:00 AM, continuing with afternoon and evening services.      - The Farmersville Primitive Baptist Church will host their Annual Meeting the first weekend in May.  The meeting will begin on Friday night (singing at 7:00pm), with two services on Saturday and it will conclude on Sunday morning – with communion services following morning worship services..  There also will be a sandwich supper on Friday night at 6:00pm.  Elder Ricky Harcrow has promised to be with the Church during their meeting.  The Church at Farmersville also has a communion service after Sunday morning preaching services.  The Church building is located 2 miles south of Farmersville on County Rd 557, just Highway 78. June 15, 16 & 17, 2012 (3rd Weekend – Friday night through Sunday morning)

 

     - The New Hope Primitive Baptist Church of Fredericksburg, Texas will be hosting its Annual Meeting the third weekend in June.  The meeting will begin on Friday night with a sandwich supper around 5:30 PM and singing and worship services starting at 7:00 o'clock. There will be morning and afternoon services on Saturday and the meeting will conclude Sunday noon.  A cordial welcome is open to everyone who may desire to come to spend the weekend in honor and praise to our Lord as we worship Him in Spirit and in Truth.  Preach brethren are especially encouraged to come and take part in the services.  For those who plan to come and stay through part or all of the meeting we would suggest you make reservations early, as Fredericksburg is an active town that time of year.  Some motel suggestions are as follows: Motel 6 (830) 990-1300; Comfort Inn, (830) 990-2552; Super 8, (830) 997-6568; Days Inn Suites: (830) 997-1086.

     - The Pilgrim’s Rest Primitive Baptist Church at Stratton will host this year’s Camp Meeting the third weekend in July.  We pray that those who seek the truth proclaimed about our blessed Lord will plan to attend. This is an open meeting, and we pray the Lord will again bless us with a host of able preachers and followers.  The meeting will begin Thursday evening, with a sandwich supper at 6:00, followed by singing and preaching. Breakfast will be served each morning, lunch and supper on Friday and Saturday, and lunch on Sunday.

 

We have ample parking for RVs and tents, with water and 30 amp electric service. Many Church members offer their homes, and there are commercial accommodations in Cuero and Yoakum.  There are also numerous motels in Victoria , which is about 35 miles from the Church.  The following motels and B&Bs in Cuero and Yoakum are available.  We will attempt to get special rates from some if you mention you are attending the Stratton Camp Meeting.

 

There is a lot of oil field activity in the area and motel rooms are in short supply during the week. There are also quite a few RV Parks around the area, but mostly cater to oil field-related residents. Please make your motel room reservations early.
