First Primitive Baptist Church of Dallas “100th Anniversary Meeting”

     - The First Primitive Baptist Church of Dallas will host our 100th Anniversary meeting the 4th weekend in September, which is our normal Annual Meeting time.  We are going to start services at 10:00am on both Friday and Saturday morning.  There will be afternoon and evening services on both days.  We will probably try to start our preaching services on Saturday night around 6:30pm.  Our Sunday worship services will be immediately followed by our Communion service.  We would love to see visitation from our sister Churches, as well as ministering servants that the Lord may send our way.  For more information, please contact Bro.      - The Dixie Primitive Baptist Church in Whitesboro, Texas will host their annual meeting the second weekend in October, beginning on Friday night and continuing through Sunday morning.  Services will begin on Friday night at 7:00pm (no supper before hand).  Saturday morning song service will begin at 10:00am.  The Dixie Primitive Baptist Church is located north of Whitesboro, Texas on Highway 377.  Exit Highway 82 in Whitesboro onto Highway 377 and proceed about 2.4 miles.  The Church building across the highway from the Dixie cemetery.  For more information, please contact Sis.      - Lord willing, Reveille Primitive Baptist Church will host its annual meeting the fourth weekend in October.  There will be three services on Friday, beginning at 10:30, and three services on Saturday, beginning at 10:00.  The meeting will conclude on Sunday morning.  Meals will be served throughout the meeting.  The Church is located just east of Magazine, Arkansas, off of Hwy 10 on Reveille Valley Road.  For more information, please contact Elder James Isaacs at (479) 963-3163.

October 23, 2010 (4th Weekend in October – Saturday Only)

     - We want to invite all who love singing spiritual songs and hymns to join us on Saturday October 23, 2010 at the Midland Primitive Baptist Church at 411 West Shandon in Midland, Texas.  We will begin at 10:00 am and continue throughout the day into the evening.  Meals will be served and there will be periodic breaks to allow our voices to rest.

These singings were discontinued a few years ago, but resumed three years ago and the past three sessions have been well attended and blessed of the Lord.  Sunday will be a normal worship service with singing, praying and preaching.  We regret that few of the members still live in Midland and are able to have overnight company.  However, special arrangements have been made with motels in the area for reduced rates.  Below is a list of the motels and rates available.  Contacts are given where available.

     - The Snyder Primitive Baptist Church will host their annual homecoming meeting in October, 2010 beginning Friday night October 29th. We'll have services Friday Night, Saturday Morning, Afternoon, and Night and Sunday Morning.  Supper will be served Friday evening and meals will be served Saturday and Sunday.      - The Denton Primitive Baptist Church will be hosting a 5th Sunday in October, 2010 meeting beginning on Friday night before the 5th Sunday.  A sandwich supper will be had at 6:00 P.M. and song service to begin at 7:00 P.M. and preaching at 7:30.  Saturday morning song service will begin at 10:00 A.M. with preaching beginning at 10:30.  Services will be held Saturday afternoon after lunch.  Sunday morning services will be as regularly scheduled.

The Valley Springs Primitive Baptist Church – was constituted in August 1882, this congregation elected one of its eleven charter members, Elder S. R. Woods, as its first pastor. The membership met monthly in the Valley Springs schoolhouse until 1886 when it moved to the Shiloh Community School building on land donated by Mr. and Mrs. S. S. Redford. Over the years, the Valley Springs Primitive Baptist Church has continued to meet here, serving a widespread rural area of Llano County.

     - The New Salem Primitive Baptist Church in Floydada, TX will hold a 5th Sunday Meeting in October 2010.  They plan to begin praising God with song at 10:00 AM Saturday morning October 30th.   They will have lunch available at noon following the morning service.  The afternoon service will begin after lunch, approximately 1:30 to 2:00 PM.  The Sunday Morning worship will also begin at 10:00 AM.

December 18 & 19, 2010 (3rd Weekend in December – Saturday Morning, Saturday Afternoon and Sunday Morning)

Ordination of Bro. Michael Hackfeld to the Office of Deacon

     - - The Snyder Primitive Baptist Church has set aside Bro. Michael Hackfeld to be ordained to the Office of Deacon.  Bro. Hackfeld is a devoted servant to the Lord and His Church.  The Church is planning to host regular worship services on Saturday morning (December 18th) with the Ordination service being scheduled for that same afternoon.  There will not be night services, but they will meet on Sunday morning for regular worship services.  Elder Mark Rowell, the pastor of the Houston Primitive Baptist Church has promised to be with them during their meeting.  Please pray for their meeting and Bro.
